The clearing

Have you ever worked on a farm and something went or got out of control? That is what this book is mainly about having something go a little too far. The author is maybe trying to tell us about how to not get out of control on things, and if it does then don’t let it go too far in life. That’s what happened in the book.

In this book there is two boys one day pruning there plum trees and there are on their side just doing their own business and then here come two boys from the other side of the valley and just start talking about them. Then they start throwing rocks at them when they are in the trees and they could get really hurt. So then they come down and start throwing rocks back at them. So then there are rocks flying everywhere. One of the boys that came over and just started throwing rocks at them threw a rock at one of the boys that was pruning there trees, got hit in the foot. So then they stopped and stared running back where they came from.

Now what I think of that is bullying. So they live on the farm and prune their own trees and some boys just come over and start just throwing rocks at them, I think they should just all be friends and get over the fact that they live on the opposite sides and they can’t hardly do anything together because they are always working on the farms. So one day the dad and his kids come out and starts burning the brushes and got a little out of control and ends up being a big fire on all the brushes. Then the dad and his kids come running from their side of the valley.

At the end they put out the fire and they end up being friends again and the kids are playing with each other and without throwing rocks at each other. So then everything is back the way it was before but again without the kids fighting and the adults fighting.
